Friday, July 4th

Riverfront Bar and Grill: Drinks, light food, and premier fireworks viewing at the Riverfront Barge on the Hudson River in Albany starting at 7:30 pm until 11:00 pm. Traffic will be interesting in downtown Albany on this night so plan ahead.  The Barge sits on the Albany side of the Hudson River with a great view of the Plaza for a view of the enormous July 4^th fireworks display.  Price $20 per person. 

Saturday (during the day), July 5th

Yoga: Sharon Barr has volunteered to teach a yoga class at The Breathing Room at the Four Corners starting at 10:45. There is no charge for the class.  Sharon is a certified yoga instructor.

Thacher Park: Easy Hike in Thacher Park - Saturday, July 5, 2014. Start at 1:30 pm and finish at about 3:00. Meet at the Park Administration Office on Route 157 (Thacher Park Road). Led by Beth Newman Schroeder, Ann Ellery, Jan Schroeder McCracken, and Kathy Meany. The hike will include the Indian Ladder Trail, the Escarpment Trail, and the Overlook. Join us for a scenic, enjoyable hike in a natural gem of our area that was an important part of our history growing up in the nearby Town of Bethlehem!

Please pre-register for yoga and/or the hike. We need to know how many people to expect so we can plan accordingly.

Golf: Jon Maskin will be organizing another outstanding golf outing.  Normanside Country Club golf course.  Time is approximately 10:00-3:00.  Price $55 per person with cart - includes prizes.

Saturday Evening (The Main Event), July 5th

Normanside Country Club – Dinner and Dance: The main event (happy hour, dinner, dancing) will take place at Normanside Country Club from 7:00 pm-12:00. The event will include drinks/happy two hours from 7:00-9:00 and a DJ from 9:00-12:00. $75 per person.

What does the $75 pay for?

Cocktail time (2 hours) featuring: Cheese table;          Crudité table; Beer, Wine, and Soda open bar

An assortment of butlered hot hors d’oeuvres

Buffet Dinner, with choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrees, with salad, rolls, coffee, etc.

Dessert

Linens (orange and black, of course). Table decorations

A mike and projector for speeches, presentations, etc.

A DJ and dancing. Tax and Tip.

Sunday (mid-day brunch and cruise), July 6 -

Dutch Apple Brunch and Cruise: Brunch and Hudson River cruise on the Dutch Apple @ $26 per person includes site seeing cruise and brunch with cash bar. Boards at 12:30PM and cruises until 3PM.  Note: We need 30 registered people to make this a go so please be sure to register.  (If you want to just go on the cruise it is $18 per person but you do not have to register.)
